Wind energy can be used by farmers. Wind energy has been used for many years. Famers generate electricity by pumping the water from the wells. This is how the farmer irrigates his crops. The windmill or the modern turbine work the same way. They both use the wind to create the energy and electricity needed to water their crops. The systems are like a sailboat. When a sailboat left its sail up it uses wind energy to make to move. Winds also grind corn or wheat. In Holland they used wind energy for centuries
. Today wind energy can be used to make electricity. The shaft goes through the gears and then there is a transmission box is truing and the speed of the blade is increased. If the wind turbine spins to fast there is a braking system. In California there are a lot of windy areas. There one problem with wind energy its’ not wind enough. California in the summer months it’s usually the winder season for them. For the wind energy to work the speed for the turbine have to give up to 12to14 mph. Wind energy has to be ascertain speed to turn the wind turbines fast enough to make electricity. Usually the wind energy produces about 50 to 300 kilowatts.

But it doesn’t involved thermal energy it does not need mechanical. The world’s ocean may eventually provide us with energy to power up homes and business. There are three ways to tap the ocean for its energy. We can use the ocean’s waves we can use the high and low tides, or we can use the temperature differences in the water.
